I dont know where to start. The Shadow Sun is EXACTLY what I was looking for in a portable RPG. It is fast paced, the controls work so well, the lore is impeccable, the design is beautiful, the story is pretty compelling although more voice acting wouldve been a minor plus. There is absolutely nothing I dont like about this game and if you ask me, it is well worth the price (replay value is present as well). I rated this 5 stars because this game deserves it. I hope OS studios will keep making jewels like this. It is a must have!!

Ossian Studios is best known for their detail rich and story-driven RPGs. If you had ever played Darkness over Daggerford and/or Mysteries of Westgate on your PC, you know what I mean.

Its fairly linear, tailored to cater to novice RPG players, while soothing the more seasoned ones with some nice twists. Waiting for an expansion/continuation with more levels, *much* more skills/spells, more gear and world interaction and a fuller world. Also the linearity (while good for novices) is quite a turn-off. Visualisation-wise itd be great if there were more different model animations as well as actual voice acting, not Baldurs Gate 1 style voice intros and them just text. Either cut it out completely and leave just text, or fill it up. Keyword "fill it up:" for the next version, fill the world, make it bigger, and more interactive. Include more classic RPG elements, and raise the bar a bit. Und wer kein Englisch kann in 2013 ist selbst schuld, hört auf so peinlich rumzuheulen und zockt lieber ein shoot-em-up oder Angry Birds.

This is one of the first attempts of serious gaming at the ios platform. An amazing amount of detail and story, this is basically neverwinter nights for ios, and can be the first of a series of amazing ios games.

Only about 30-60 minutes into this game and already it’s surprisingly deep for an iOS title, very exciting and looking forward to more from this game and possibly further titles from this developer!

Like the review below, I got pretty much instantly hooked on this. The story is deep and engaging, and it really itches that Dragon Age experience need that isn’t available elsewhere on iOS. Get it!

Great storyline and gameplay.

Just meh, this game isnt anything special. Also the textures of the character skin, and armor, often bug out and begin flashing from a blank skin coloured character , to one with gear on it. Played it for a while ... Nothing has grabbed my interest yet. Sadly it isnt worth 8$ and when the price goes up,save your money because this isnt worth it.

This game is a classic rpg- intriguing and lots of different quests to play. It is possible to spend an almost unlimited time exploring, if you could get past the bad character controllers. The hero is really difficult to move around, and is limited to certain places. They cannot jump, or do many other essential tasks. This game is a rip-off for how much money they are asking. There are many different apps out there that are much better, such as order and chaos, aural on, and shadowlands (ravensword).

This is a good game, interesting story line and not too repetitive action. But the game crashes all the time. Some times it goes smoothly, but other times it crashes every time you try to save or leave an area making it impossible to progress anywhere. Fix the crashes and this game would for sure be a five star game.

Read the reviews, watched the gameplay trailers and sprung for it. Not disappointed. This is a great extensive RPG with a deep story line. There are only 4 significant IAPs - a gear set for each class and a walk through each for only 99 cents. This is useful and greatly appreciated as IAPs have become somewhat of a ripoff in other games. Very well done, my gf and I both are hooked.

This is a great game!! Good game play with great graphics. In my opinion this should be a five star game, but it has one major flaw, the game crashes when ever you try to save or progress to another area. This crashing makes it impossible to progress through the game. Every time you finish an area, you have to start all over in that area, because every time you have to travel to another part of the game to continue on your quests, and the game crashes, thus making you start all over in the area that you just spent about an hour trying to finish. Ive given up on the game until a fix is made, its to frustrating spending all that time just to have the game crash when you have finished clearing an area!! Fix the game and you will get your five stars!! In the meantime dont waste your money downloading this game, you will just get as frustrated as I am!!

At the end of the game after the credits the screen goes black and nothing happens and I only played 7 hours of the game.

Not worth 8$. Too short, and very easy.

Worth the buy. The lack of mini map is a pain.
